This Sunday
It’s easy to do loving acts in public, but what happens when no one is watching?
This Sunday, as we continue our Serving series, we’ll look at Jesus’ shocking act in John 13 when He picked up a towel to wash His disciples' feet. Jesus isn’t just teaching us a list of good deeds; He’s forming us into truly loving people from the inside out. Some of God’s most important work in our transformation happens in the quiet, unapplauded moments of hidden service.
Join us this week as we discover what it means to serve for an audience of One—and how choosing to pick up the towel changes... us.
A note from Larry about American politics and voting:
Are you about to puke if you see one more political ad or text?!
Are you starting to feel numb, frustrated, or just plain tired of the whole political process?
I get it.
Sometimes politics can feel so confusing, overwhelming, and frustrating - that we're tempted to just check out. And honestly, it's not hard to see why...
An Update on GROW:
We're now 18 months into our two-year GROW Initiative! God has been doing some incredible things in and through Home Church, and we're excited to share this update with you!

Outreach — Children's Hunger Fund
November 7 | 9am
Join our Home Church family for two hours of hands-on service at Children’s Hunger Fund! Together, we’ll help prepare food and other resources that equip churches to bring help and hope to children and families in need.
All ages are welcome, making this a great opportunity to serve together as a family. We have room for up to 60 volunteers, so register everyone who will be joining you—including children!
One Another
New Group - Starting November 5
One Another is a safe, confidential support group for those living with chronic illness, terminal illness, chronic pain, visible or invisible disabilities, and unseen diseases—as well as the caregivers and loved ones walking alongside them.
If you're looking for a place where your story is welcomed, your struggles are respected, and you don't have to pretend you're okay, there's a place for you here.
Surviving the Holidays
Surviving the Holidays is a good way of coming together and discussing dealing with grief during the Holiday season. But the goal isn’t simply to survive the holidays. Even in the middle of grief, there can still be room for meaningful memories, moments of peace, and even joy.
This is a one-time class with two dates for you to choose from:
November 9 at 6pm
November 12 at 11am
You do not need to be part of our ongoing Grief Share Group to attend.
Craving Connections
This Home Group has room for a few additional members!
Looking for meaningful connections with others who share your life stage and interests? Our group is for active, DIY-minded adults—whether you’re married without kids or an empty nester.
Volunteer Opportunities
Safety & Medical Team
We’re seeking volunteers to join our Home Church Safety Team, particularly those with backgrounds in law enforcement, military service, corporate security, executive protection, fire service, or emergency medical care. Individuals with leadership and extensive incident command experience are especially encouraged to connect with us.
If you have a heart to serve in helping keep our church family safe, contact us to learn more.
A Helping Hand
One of our church members —who lives near Lake Dunlap in New Braunfels— is looking for a little help getting to church. Because of a visual disability, he isn’t able to drive himself. If you think you might be able to help, please let Dahlia know.
You don’t have to commit every week—even an occasional ride would be appreciated!
Quilts of Valor
November 7 | 2pm
Join us on November 7th at 2pm as we honor and show our respect and admiration to our local Veterans! In recognition of their service and sacrifice to this nation, in peacetime or in war, and in observance of Veteran's Day, we will award 20 military veterans with a Quilt of Valor — handmade by our Home Church quilting group, "Made with Love, not Perfection."
If you'd like to nominate a veteran for a future Quilts of Valor Award — Click the button below!
